Blue Angels adopt new G-force training program
Starting last month, the Blue Angels have been training under a new G-Tolerance Training Program that will reduce the incidence of "G-LOC." The U.S. Navy believes G-LOC lead to the crash of a Blue Angel jet at the 2007 Beaufort Air Show.

Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Adm. Mike Mullen and Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy (MCPON) (SW/FMF) Joe R. Campa Jr. met with Sailors and Marines of the Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, at Naval Air Station Pensacola on May 9. Both CNO and MCPON offered their condolences to the team for the recent loss of Lt. Cmdr. Kevin J. Davis.

Navy jet team to perform at Seymour Johnson

Davis was a 'top-shelf' pilot
A.J. Fratto, a U.S. Navy recruiter, spent a year and a half on the Blue Angels team with Lt. Cmdr. Kevin J. Davis. Fratto described him with two words: "top shelf." "Kojak was the most tremendous pilot I ever met in my entire life," he said. "He was the most humble and respectable guy to ever don the blue suit."
Blue Angel pilot 'fascinated' by flying
U.S. Navy Blue Angels Lt. Cmdr. Kevin Davis was named "Top Stick" in his class at VF-101 while he trained on Tomcats. He also graduated from Navy Flight Weapons School in 2004.
