The U.S. Navy prefers to base eight F-35 squadrons at NAS Cherry Point and three more squadrons and two fleet replacement squadrons at Beaufort.
The second preferred option is to base all 11 squadrons at Cherry Point and the FRS at Beaufort.

Cherry Point is an MCAS, not a NAS. Marines would not be happy with that mistake, haha.
