Three German bomb disposal experts were killed while they were trying to diffused a 1,000-pound American WW2 bomb in the city of Goettingen late on Tuesday.

Ouch. Lots of old ordnance turns up in Europe, from WW2 and even WW1, dangerous stuff and these experts do good work to help a lot of people, my condolences to their friends and families, and God bless them.
One minor nitpick to the write up, when talking explosives, the term is to defuse or that it was defused. “Diffuse” is a different meaning. Otherwise all good.
