Retired U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. William E. Eubank Jr., affectionately know as the “Father of the B-52,” has passed away. He was 98.
As commander of the 93rd Bomb Wing, Gen. Eubank helped induct the B-52 into the U.S. Air Force in 1955.
