Pantex Begins Disassembly of a W84 Warhead

The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) announced that it has completed disassembly and inspection of the first W84 thermonuclear warhead at NNSA’s Pantex Plant in Amarillo, Texas.

Air refueling pioneers honored in ceremony at Scott

The air refueling pioneers responsible for the United States’ first air-refueling flights in 1923 and 1929 were honored in a ceremony Sept. 23 at Scott AFB’s “Walk of Fame” as part of a presentation by the Airlift-Tanker Association Hall of Fame officials.

AH-1Z completes OPEVAL

The USMC’s AH-1Z Cobra has successfully completed its Operational Evaluation (OPEVAL). This paves the way for the gunship to be introduced into the fleet.
