A rare Finnish F-18D, that was rebuild using parts from a F-18C, was lost after its rudder failed due to a servo malfunction.
The aircraft was in a dive when on board computers detected a failure in the rudder and reverted to manual control. The pilot was unable to recover and both crew members ejected.
