A computer expert from the Pentagon testified before the U.S. Senate Armed Services committee saying a EADS employee had opened a file on Boeing’s KC-X bid for three minutes.
Only one page from the file was displayed. However there is a dispute by EADS claiming the employee opened the file for 15 seconds only.
Maj. Gen. Wendy M. Masiello, Air Force program executive officer for combat and mission support, told the committee that the information revealed is one of two adjustments that the Air Force will make to bid prices before choosing a winner.
Having this information could help a bidder adjust its final price for a better position.
