Chinese fighter designer Tu Jida has passed away on Feb. 16. Tu was responsible for designing the CJ6, J-5, JJ5, J-7II and J-7M.

ATK to modify 2 Jordanian CASA-235 into gunships
ATK announced it has received a contract from the King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau (KADDB) of the Kingdom of Jordan to modify two of the country’s CASA-235 transport aircraft into gunships.

Malaysian bank tricked into loaning $6 million to 2 companies pretending to buy MiG-29 parts
A Malaysian bank has lodged a police report against two companies that borrowed $6 million to buy spare parts for the RMAF’s MiG-29s. The bank approved the loan and later found out the companies did not exist.
