Vice Adm. Scott Van Buskirk, commander of the U.S. 7th Fleet, said carrier-based drones “will play an integral role in our (USN) future operations in this (Asia) region.”

Reporter’s first hand account of Chinook crash in Afghanistan

A Canadian CH-47 crashed upon landing on a river bed in Afghanistan early Monday morning and Colin Perkel from the Canadian Press happened to be traveling in that helicopter.
