Kiwi who gained ace status during Battle of Singapore passed away

New Zealand ace Geoffrey Fisken who shot down six Japanese fighters and bombers during the defense of Singapore during World War Two has passed away.

Fisken was also the British Commonwealth’s top ace in the Pacific with 11 kills and one of the only three from the Commonwealth to achieve ace status on the Brewster Buffaloe.
