Papua New Guinea has accepted Indonesia’s explanation why it sent two Su-27s to intercept a Falcon jet carrying PNG Deputy Prime Minister Belden Namah home from Malaysia on Nov. 29.
Indonesia said the aircraft type was not the same as stipulated in the flight clearance permit. Thus, it decided to scramble fighters to inspect the jet.
