Bataan and Makin Island Amphibious Ready Groups turnover duties

Bataan Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Group (MEU) were relieved of their duties in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility (AOR) by the Makin Island ARG and the 11th MEU, Jan. 6.

AWACS crew coordinates rescue in Afghanistan

Apparently, a AH-64 crashed in Afghanistan on Dec. 30 and a E-3 was diverted from its flight plan to help recover the crew and the aircraft.

USAF postpones decision on F-35 training at Eglin AFB
