The United States is eyeing CoCos Islands in the Indian Ocean as a potential base for its Global Hawk UAV, according to media reports.
Defense Minister Stephen Smith clarified that the airstrip there needs to be upgraded first and stressed that it was “very much a long-term prospect”.
