As part of its probe into problems with the F-22’s oxygen system, the U.S. Air Force is taking a closer look at why
F-22 pilots have higher prevalence of coughing after executing extreme maneuvers in the air.
The symptoms, called acceleration atelectasis, are known but F-22 pilots suffers from it more than their other counterparts flying different jets.
