Two VPAF Su-27 fighters from the 940th fighter regiment, accompanied by a An-26, flew the first air patrol over Spratly islands recently.
Previously, the Su-27 flights were flown from air bases in the south. The fighters flew over Da Nam and Song Tu Tay islands at a height of 1,600ft.
