The Luftwaffe found that its Eurofighter can match the F-22 in close-up dogfights during the recent Red Flag Alaska exercise.
Col. Andreas Pfeiffer said: “In the dogfight the Eurofighter is at least as capable as the F-22, with advantages in some aspects.”

“Eurofighter, F-22 evenly matched in dogfights”
Haha, hardly. Try reading a little about the ROE’s of the engagment instead of cherry picking staments to fit your bias.Their idea of “evenly matched” is to “slick the aircraft off as much as possible”, meaning strip the Eurofighter of all external missiles, bombs, pods, & tanks while at the same time putting severe restrictions on the altitude, stealth, and manuvering of the F-22 pilots. Even then the F-22 won 4 out of the 8 engagments.
Also I noticed you didnt include any of the American pilots statments about the engagments. You know, statements such as: “I reviewed the HUD footage, a lot of gun shots from the F-22’s to the Eurofighters and not a whole lot coming back,” one Raptor pilot reported.
Or how about: “the Typhoon has good energy and a pretty good first turn, but we were able to outmanoeuvre the Germans due to the Raptor’s thrust vectoring. Additionally, the Typhoon was not able to match the high angle of attack capability of the F-22. “We ended up with numerous gunshot kills,” another USAF pilot says.
Or what about the statment by the German Commander who said, quote: “Even if we did everything right we were still unable to get with in 20 miles of the F-22 before being targeted.”
These two aircraft are FAR from “evenly matched”
