The Yomiuri Shimbun reported that Tokyo and Washington will explore the use of the Global Hawk to monitor activities over Japanese waters.
It was also agreed during the meeting last Friday at the Pentagon between Japanese Defense Minister Satoshi Morimoto and U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta that both parties will base their surveillance activities in Guam.
