Pakistan Air Force’s Kamra air base came under attack from Islamist militants armed with rocket-propelled grenades and automatic weapons in the early hours of Thursday.
The exchange of gunfire lasted for over four hours and eight militants and one soldier were killed. One aircraft was damaged.
The air base is located next to the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex where the JF-17 fighter is being produce.
