Wife of late Brig. Gen. Thomas Tinsley thinks that her husband’s suicide is related to the F-22. Tinsley was commander of Elmendorf Air Force Base when he shot himself in the chest four years ago.
Joanna Tinsley said her husband experienced big changes during the last few months of his life. An Air Force engineer who knew Tinsley well said the general often work with F-22 airmen on the flight line which would have increased his exposure to any toxic materials.
