Washington Post reported that VMA-211 commanding officer Lt. Col. Christopher K. Raible died while defending his unit from attack at Camp Bastion.
Armed only with a handgun, Raible returned back to his squadron from his quarters and led his men to another building when an explosion killed him and Sgt. Bradley W. Atwell.
