U.S. Deputy Defense Secretary Ashton Carter said in a speech Wednesday that the Pentagon is considering deploying the F-35 to Kadena Air Force Base, Japan.
“We’ve already deployed F-22s to Kadena Air Force Base in Japan, and we will deploy the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter to the region,” Carter said.
