Two Nigerian Air Force Alpha Jets, NAF 455 and NAF 452, left Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja for Mali and Friday.
The small contingent is lead by Air Vice Marshal Tayo Oguntoyinbo and the aircraft will be based in Niamey, Niger Republic.
There were also plans to deploy Mi-35 helicopters on Jan. 19.
