Rebels siezed northwestern air base in Syria
Rebels in Syria has successfully taken over an air base in northwestern part of the country. The Taftanaz air base in the northern Idlib province is used by the government to bomb rebel-held areas and ferry in supplies.

Belarus’ second Tor-M2 battery enters service, third battery ordered
A second Tor-M2 battery for Belarus has entered service on Jan. 10. Belarusian Deputy Defense Minister for Armament Mr Igor Lotenkov also revealed that a third battery has been ordered.
