The Pentagon Inspector General on Monday said Capt. Jeffrey Haney should not be blamed for the crash of a F-22 in November 2010.
The U.S. Air Force Accident Investigation Board had concluded that the crash was Haney’s fault because he failed to gain control of his aircraft after the oxygen system shut down and the emergency oxygen system was difficult to use.
However, the IG said the Air Force conclusion was “not supported by the facts” within the crash report.
