Raytheon’s dual-band datalink tested with Thales radar

Raytheon has tested its company-funded dual-band datalink with a Thales Nederland Advanced Phased Array Radar (APAR). This will open up the potential to employ the full range of missiles within the Standard Missile family on more European ships.

VAQ-129 EA-6B crashed

A VAQ-129 EA-6B with three on board went down in an unpopulated area approximately 50 miles west of Spokane, Washington on Mar. 11. All three did not survive the crash.

Italian Tornado getting upgrade for AARGM and SDB

Italy’s Tornado fighters will be upgraded to carry the Anti Radiation-Guided- Missile (AARGM) and the Small-Diameter-Bomb (SDB) under MET Contract Annex 27.
