The U.S. Air Force has completed the KC-135 Block 45 testing program. A team from the 418th Flight Test Squadron finished testing in April.
The Block 45 upgrades include: a digital flight director, a radar altimeter, an electronic engine instrument display and Automatic Flight Control System or Autopilot for Communications, Navigation, Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) requirements in order to maintain global airspace access.
