At a media briefing during IMDEX Asia 2013, CNO Adm. Jonathan Greenert, said the U.S. Navy’s landing helicopter dock (LHD) needed some modifications in order to support F-35B flight operations.
Some systems require shielding while others have to be relocated or remove in order to deal with increased stresses associated with the exhaust from the F-35B.
