Sikorsky has approached the Canadian government with a proposal to accept four CH-148 Cyclone maritime helicopters in its current configuration and gradually make them fully operational with incremental software updates.
Delivery of aircraft has been delayed since 2008 due to the software needed for the helicopter to carry out its mission.
