The Russian military is rushing to construct a six-meter-high, three-kilometer-long dam around Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aircraft Production Association (KnAAPO) factory in the far east as flood waters threatened it.
So far almost 16,000 people had already been evacuated and 98,800 people are affected by the ongoing flooding of the Amur River.
