Sweden has offered Czech a better offer for the lease of 12 Gripens from October 2015 to October 2027.
Under the new $69 million plan, Czech air force is allowed to use the jets for up to 2,200 hours a year.
Saab will upgrade the cockpit for NVG operations and add an anti-collision system for low altitudes. The weapons load will be expanded by a software update.
