The Singapore Airshow 2014 will kick-off tomorrow at Changi Exhibition Centre and this year the organizers have an impressive aerial display line-up. Here’s a preview of what you can expect over the next six days.
The flying display will start off with Singapore’s very own RSAF Black Knights. Here the Black Knights enter show-center pitching up for the Opening Curtain.
Black Knights 5 and 6 execute a Aileron Roll Pass
Making its first appearance at the show is the Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey. This aircraft has the ability to tilt its engine pods. This allows the Osprey to operate like an aircraft or as a helicopter.
Besides the Osprey, the Yakovlev Yak-130 jet trainer is another aircraft that will grace the skies over Singapore for the first time.
Another new comer is the A350XWB, Airbus chose Singapore for its jetliner to perform its first ever airshow flying display.
The photos above are taken using a Canon EOS 7D with a EF300mm f/2.8L IS II USM telephoto lens and occasionally with a EF 2x II Extender attached. Good news for those heading down to Changi Exhibition Centre on this weekend. If you like to try out the EF300mm, Canon Singapore has a Lens “Try and Buy” Program to let you gauge how well the lens perform.
