The Russian Defense Ministry said six Su-27s and three transport aircraft have been deployed to Belarus to boost the latter’s air defenses.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko had said earlier that he will approach Moscow for help in response to increased NATO military activity along Belarus border.
