Military officials from India and Indonesia said their radars did not detect Malaysian Airlines flight MH370.
Indonesian Air Force spokesman Air Commodore Hadi Tjahjanto on Friday told The Jakarta Post that the Indonesian Air Force’s radar unit in Lhokseumawe, Aceh, did not detect the missing aircraft around the time and place where Malaysian Air Force claims the plane to be.
Separately, Rear Admiral Sudhir Pillai, chief of staff of India’s Andamans and Nicobar Command, told Reuters that their military radars did not pick up the aircraft as well.
“It’s possible that the military radars were switched off as we operate on an ‘as required’ basis,” said Pillai.
