Four companies shortlisted for DARPA VTOL X-Plane contest

DARPA’s VTOL X-Plane program took another step forward with four companies being shortlisted to further develop their ideas.

Out of the four, one design will eventually be selected by DARPA to build a technology demonstrator and perform flight tests by 2017-18.
