U.S. Navy’s Assistant Secretary Sean Stackley said his service won’t go ahead and buy more EA-18Gs unless the Senate Appropriations Committee approve the budget as well.
Three other key congressional committees had added funding in the Navy’s fiscal 2015 budget request for more Growlers.
The Navy did not request to buy Growlers in the fiscal 2015 budget but later sent an “unfunded priorities” list to Congress with a requirement for 22 jets.
