DDG engage ballistic, cruise missile targets simultaneously with SM-3, SM-2s

USS John Paul Jones (DDG 53) successfully engage and destroy a short-range ballistic missile target plus two low-flying cruise missile targets over the Pacific Ocean on Nov. 6.

A SM-3 Block IB interceptor took out the ballistic missile target while the destroyer engage the cruise missile targets with two SM-2 Block IIIAs.
