The U.S. Air Force has shortlisted three bases as potential sites to host the 18th Aggressor Squadron.
The squadron is currently based at Eielson but with the announcement of Eielson as the preferred base for 48 F-35As. Air Combat Command must review whether Eielson is still suitable to house those F-16s.
Two bases are under the review as an alternative site, these are: Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, and Nellis AFB, Nevada.
