Taiwan is embarking on an ambitious shipbuilding program over the next couple of years, however, the RoC Navy has shelved a plan to build a helicopter carrier due to budget constrains.
Storm Media said Taiwan studied South Korea’s Dokdo-class and the Japanese Hyūga-class whilst designing a 13,000 ton ship for its needs.
