Spanish Patriot air defense missiles have been deployed at the General Recai Engin barracks in the southern Turkish province of Adana.
The battery commander, Captain Luis Burgos Sanchez, said five launchers are now active. The Spanish battery replaced a Dutch unit which was withdrawn last year.
