Northrop Grumman developing E-2D with full “wet” wing for 8-9 hours’ endurance

At the Airborne ISR Conference in London, a Northrop Grumman executive revealed that his company is developing a full ‘wet’ wing of the E-2D.

This will give the early warning aircraft an endurance of eight to nine hours. The company envisions that international customers who does not require air-to-air refueling might take up this option.
