A RoCAF C-130 could not take off from Taiping island in the Spratly Islands on May 26 after the maintenance crew discovered an issue with one of the flaps.

The cargo plane had ferried officials from various ministries to inspect recent construction on the island.
The situation was only resolved around 5 p.m. and the aircraft departed successfully.
