Pratt & Whitney has proposed upgrade package for B-52’s TF33 engine

While waiting for the U.S. Air Force to decide whether to change the B-52H’s engines, Pratt & Whitney has gone ahead to propose an upgrade package that will improve the fuel and maintenance performance of its existing TF33 turbofan.

Boeing trying to find other uses for Phantom Eye

Boeing concluded flight tests of its Phantom Eye high-altitude long-endurance (HALE) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) last year, since then, it has been talking to the Pentagon and a number of commercial operators to bring resume flight testing.

South Korea uses 3D printer to fix F-15K engine parts

The RoKAF needed to fix two turbine shrouds from the GE F110-GE-129 engine fairly quickly and they turned to 3D printer manufacturer InssTek for the solution.
