The 70 by 4 cm interceptor is designed to take down targets ranging from cruise missile to UAV and rocket, artillery, and mortar.
While the U.S. Army requires the missile to be guided by a semi-active RF seeker. Lockheed Martin has funded its own research into an active seeker and is exploring the feasibility of a semi-active laser.
