To meet a Polish requirement to replace the Mi-24 gunship, Bell is proposing its AH-1Z attack helicopter as the solution.

The American rotorcraft manufacturer also offered the UH-1Y as a backup plan to Poland’s selection of the H225M.
“If something happens with the Caracal deal, Bell will be happy to provide an attack and utility combination, with 85% of technical commonality and significant cost saving,” a company official said.
