At the Seoul International Aerospace and Defense Exhibition (ADEX), a Lockheed Martin executive told Flight Global on how his company plans to bring the S-3B into service with the South Korean Navy.

Firstly, some systems in the cockpit would require an update. The magnetic anomaly detector needs to get a digital upgrade. The submarine hunting sonobuoys require a refresh as well.
Lockheed also revealed that two other Asian countries are in talks on acquiring the S-3B.
