Apparently, Italy has leased a A340-500 airliner from Etihad for use as a VVIP jet for officials trips, according to La Stampa.
Photos posted on forum Aviazionecivile.it shows the registration of the jet is still A6-EHA (UAE registration).

The jet, with Italian livery, is supposed to ferry Italian Prime Minister Mateo Renzi on his trip to South America starting from today. However, La Stampa said that plan is now off and Renzi will have to travel using another aircraft.
