The transport aircraft landed at Japanese Air Self Defence Force (JASDF) Miho Base. This was the first time for an RAF aircraft to land in a JASDF base. It was also the first time the RAF A400M had flown to the Far East.
For this trip, they were hosted by airmen from JASDF 403 Squadron of the 3rd Tactical Airlift Wing. Both sides took the opportunity to exchanged opinions about their aircraft.
