India to upgrade Il-76/78 fleet; digitized S-125 missile units

India’s Defense Acquisitions Council (DAC) has cleared the upgrade of its Il76 and Il78 fleet with new engines and avionics. The modernization will extend the lifespan of the aircraft by another twenty years.

Finmeccanica in talks with Peru over 6-8 C-27Js

Finmeccanica CEO Mauro Moretti says his company is in discussions with Peru for a follow-on order of 6-8 C-27Js. Peru currently has four C-27Js.

Taiwan to extend F-16 training program at Luke AFB till 2019

Currently, Taiwan operates a small fleet of its F-16A/B fighters at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. The 21st Fighter Squadron’s training program is suppose to expire in 2017. Now Taiwan will extend the contract by two-years to 2019.
