The 493rd Fighter Squadron, assigned to Royal Air Force Lakenheath, England, has completed its participation in Blue Flag exercise at Uvda Air Force Base, Israel, Oct. 18-29.

F-15C pilots from the 493rd were able to fly across the entire country during the exercise, from flying at low altitude over the Dead Sea below sea level, to escorting strikers above Tel Aviv and the Gaza Strip, and conducting combat air patrol over Jerusalem.
