The U.S. Marine Corps has published its investigation into the fatal crash of a HMLA-469 UH-1Y in Nepal on May 12.

All thirteen on board the helicopter were killed when it flew into a ridge of Kalinchok Mountain.
Investigators believe the pilots were trying to take a shorter route, over unfamiliar terrain with unstable meteorological conditions, in order to rush injured civilians to medical aid.
